I dont quite understand what your point is, OP, but this is my stance. I take a lot of time to combine, add to and then compress sponsor content vids and pics for showcasing sponsors. I consider my work GPL, and as long as the website owner is promoting the paysite the vid was made for with the video and not stealing my bandwidth, I don't care if they rip my videos for their own use.

One would assume that his target audience is those who actually own content -- not affiliates.

indeed.. but quite a few affiliates here that is brilliant coders and always can do with extra $$$ thus me mentioning it as a notion
