Suggestions for blog software that uses that lowest resources?

Don't run Apache and MySQL on the same physical server, and you won't have issues with wordpress at all.

Find a good webhost that uses H-Sphere for its control panel, and has a dedicated mysql server, and a dedicated mail server, and dedicated web server.

Also, tickler posted an htaccess mod for permalinks that not only should speed up WP, it should also reduce the load on the server

I'm no techno head but BabloggerV4 might be OK...

Maybe the walrus can fill me in on the real truth lol...

It has seemed pretty stable for me..

Actually, I forgot about babeblogger. I agree it's a pretty good script and pretty light.

I found something on a filesharer site but thats not ideal.

Personally, I like Habari which has a built in caching functionality so you don't have to futz around with plugins. Not quite as powerful or quantity of plugins as WordPress tho.
