CashOnClick.com gone?

CashOnClick - I don't currently have you as a sponsor, and I am aware that companies sometimes have downtime, so that would not turn me away from you. But what has put Cash On Clicks on my list of sponsors never to use is the attitude shown in the first (quoted) message. It is probably no one's fault that your site went down, but the result is that your affiliates are sending clicks to a 404, which won't make any sales so they are loosing money. Your response should have been apologetic, NOT "LOL...whatever"! The line "we ran out of drive space on our RAID array, LOL...whatever!!" roughly translates as "because of a problem at our end you are going to loose money. At best some of you will have to do with out a few luxuries, and at worst some will have problems paying the bills at the end of the month LOL...whatever!!".

So quite frankly my friend, as far as I am concerned, your company can go fuck itself, LOL...whatever!!

The quoted text was a message from the owner of the program, former pornstar TAYLOR RAIN. We got the same email blast when it came out.
To know Taylor Rain would explain a lot. This is the same pornstar who has been on the cover of High Times multiple times and once offered Howard Stern her dogs testicles live on his show. Taylor Rain knows as much about servers, RAID, drive space, bandwidth as my fish knows about biomolecular chemistry. The LOL comment was not meant as an insult, it was the honest talk of a true pornstar trying to run a network and making fun at herself cuz she typed something she got in a 'memo' from her colo that simply looked like Latin to her. I for one appreciate the fact the girl tries as hard as she does and she is real! Lighten up.

I know your post was meant in defence of Cash On Clicks, but it actually had the opposite effect. Basically you are saying "She meant nothing by it, she is just too thick to realise that laughing at something that is costing the webmasters money". Since you are also saying that she runs the company, it does not inspire confidence in any company if you defend them by saying that the person who runs this company does not really know enough to be able to run a company!!!

However more importantly is the way you dismiss pornstars with the line "I don't think you know much about pornstars, L O L". I know several porn actresses, and none are as thick as you infer Taylor Rain is. Since I don't actually know Taylor Rain, I have to accept your inference that she is a few beers short of a six pack, but if that is the case I can assure you that she is the exception NOT THE RULE. Sure, some of them don't have a good education, but THEY ARE NOT STUPID, none of them would send an email like that, and every one of them would realise how it would sound if they laughed at their affiliate's misfortune. Please don't judge everyone in a profession by the one person you know.

I mean I know we disagree on this, and I did not seriously expect my post to make you change your view on on porn actresses, but I did at least think you would accept that some people have a different view to you about the IQ of pornstars!
