Hi Guys,

One theory I've come across: You take the pr of the page (which we all know that a pr=4 could actually have a value such as 40,000 to 49,999 or something such assigned to it) and divide it by the number of outgoing links. This determines the actual page rank that the page sends to the pages it links to (not taking into account the positioning of the link of the sending page).

Hence the page rank sent also determines the position/rank that you see when looking at backlinks.
