Plus people are just plain ignorant about computers. Over on the U-Verse board people bitch about the U-Verse branded browser that ships with the U-Verse install disk not realizing that they can use whatever browser they feel like. In fact there is no reason to run the U-Verse install disk at all.

Well, yeah, the stupid ones do, and there are a lot of stupid people out there. But not as many as 45%. I mean, I'm so cynical about the rest of the human race that I have been accused of being a sociopath in the past, but even I don't believe that nearly half the planet are thickos. It's as if some of you have forgotten that these people have jobs where they usually work very long hours at so when they come home all they want to do is (without thinking) turn on the computer, go to G, look for porn, hopefully buy a membership, release some stress, turn off computer and then get some sleep. A computer is just an appliance, like a microwave. They don't need to know how it works as long as it does. And when it stops working, they throw it out and buy a new one that more then likely has IE on it. Until that changes, it is what it is
