Unless you are a bondage lifestyle site, bondage surfers want actresses who at least look like they are taking the scenario seriously, not smiling when they are supposed to be acting as though in pain!

True enough. But it kind of depends on the feel of the site (no clue about the specific ones - never promoted them) - pure bondage/very light BDSM can easily be sort of jolly themed (same with those new humiliated/disgraced sites - they claim to be bdsm, but it seems more like a bit of goofing around - whilst of course humiliation can also be done in a darker way)... but if theyre selling in the harder end of BDSM obviously visibly staged material ruins the vibe - and the potential to sell.
So yeah ... it aint particularly "serious" bdsm, granted - and wouldnt have a chance of selling to surfers looking for that.
I think the difference is the shooting/booking concept - if you book models and then ask them what theyre comfy doing its bound to be tame...in the BDSM niche you kind of need to do it the other way around. You need to find the models (and lifestylers) actually interested in shooting this sort of material, the ones who doesnt just agree to a bit of pain for cash - but who actually wants to do it and likes to have their limits pushed. At least in our shoots, we always had much more succes with insisting on a genuine interest in the niche.
Btw: submitted a few to your tgp, does it actually accept submissions?
