Waking up to nasty weather here. Actually the nasty weather woke me up more than a few times last night.

After seeing our electric ebill this morning I'd be happy if the weather stayed this way for the rest of the summer as it really cools things off.

Really don't want to leave the house in this weather but I need to get my rat poison levels checked, we are out of coffee creamer and also need birdseed for my macaws.

Other than running errands in nasty weather just a day spend pounding the keyboard planned for today.

A nine person kayak.

Morning all.

Wish we had your weather Cleo. It is supposed to be 113 here today. Got up at 5am, and we went around and oiled all the swamp coolers then got them running. Went to the store and got cat food, so we don't have to go out this afternoon and get it. Poor Jim, he went to bed at 2am, so he wasn't very awake. But he is back in bed sleeping now.

Just a day planned indoors trying to beat the heat.

Have a good one all!

I wish we could use swamp coolers here but they only work in places of low humidity. We've been keeping our A/C between 82 and 83, which is not at all comfortable and our electric bill is still over $300.

In my spare time, I have an idea on how to fix this.

Got the boat started last night, appears to be doing well. Removed the steering box and the new owner is going to take it apart and see if he can fabricate a fix. If not, I'm still searching for the part.

Debugging the IOS app - appears that somehow it runs when connected to XCode, but, when running unattached, it crashes. After a bit of debugging last night, found the problem, have to shuffle about 200 lines of code around, but, should have the beta for that pushed later today.

Hope everyone has a good humpday... or Hump Day or Humpday or HumpDay whichever your capitalization senses require.

Before we got the swamp coolers, our electric bills in the summer were over $300/month, and that was back in 2004, before our electric charges went up over 20%, I can't even imagine what they would be now.

Right now, it is 108 outside, 79 in our living room, (where the cooler is) 84 in my office (around a corner and down a hall from cooler), which like you said isn't real comfortable, but I have a fan blowing on me that makes it bearable.

Some day, I want to get a 2nd big swamp cooler like we have in the living room and probably install it in Jim's office (opposite end of the house). Between the two, we'd cool this down really nice.
