Credit Card Merchant Accounts

I am currently using a third party card processor and would like to apply for a credit card merchant account. I have a company registered and operating in the Channel Islands has anyone been down this road before and have all the answers?

I have a merchant account (but not for porn) and when I set it up I just went to the local bank & asked them what needed to be done.

I have to assume it's the same way for an adult account, just more hoops to jump thru.

There are not too many banks that do High risk any more.

My recommendation would be to contact mitch@Nertbilling.com and see what is currently available.

Sometimes there is volume restrictions as well.

Cheers will do. I am trying to set this up as an off shore processor and would like to find out how guys running the online casinos from Alderney are doing it. Thanks for the feedback

I decided last summer to get a Merchant Account, and after all the paper work, was told it would cost $2300.

I had the $ at the time, but I was just too cheap to spend it so I waited, then a few months ago, I decided to pay it, and was told that I missed the deadline by 2 weeks.

In my 4 years of being online, this was the biggest business mistake I ever made.

No new "High Risk" accounts are be accepted by any bank. You CAN get a merchant account for tangibles only for around $250, but nothing subscription or anything that can be downloaded.

I agree with Dan, Karen from Netbilling has kept me informed with whatever she hears. But IMHO, this will not change anytime soon at least until after the elections.
