Actually, I been telling myself for years to learn how not to use them but they are so easy to work with I keep putting it off.
I have built a couple of front ends without them, nothing special, and like you I realized I could of cut out hours by slapping a table in place that would of worked the first time, lol
Oh ya, I did spend hours yesterday locating and adding more
