For those that think the US should be like the UK and give up there guns, their homicide rate using a gun has gone way up since they did that! But in the us the rate has gone down, in any city that makes it easier to get a carry permit, the crime rate falls, WHY? Because the people committing the crimes don't want to get shot, GO FIGURE?

Vendzilla my man! You have to understand that "Bowling" was complete satire and in no way represents Michael Moore's attitude about guns. He's still a retard in my book but he was merely trying to get people to get riled up with that film. After years of being a "hunter" and a skilled US Marine I originally didn't want to even watch that movie. But Mishi sat my ass down and forced it on me (kind of like a "Clockwork Orange" moment for me). Once I actually researched the film and his motivation I got the joke.
Yes, he is a card carrying NRA member. Yes, he does own firearms. Yes, he did fabricate 99% of that film's content. It was a gaff for him. Sick joke, but he gotcha ya know. It was wrong on more levels than SouthPark, but if you get the joke it IS funny. If you aren't in on the joke then it's horrid on multiple levels and sends messages that the media and every illinformed person preys upon.
In some ways, I really wish he hadn't done it because it wasn't until way after he released the film that he started talking about how much of a satirical piece it was meant to be. He totally sold out to Hollywood with it. Kinda like how Andy Kauffman fucked with us all, and only a few got the joke. There is a line in the comedic sand that is drawn and you have to respect that line. If you don't you not only lose people but you offend many. Andy and Mike crossed that line. Maybe when Mike is dead people will realize what he was attempting to do.

And yeah, Chinese sounds REAL good right now.
