New Year's Eve 2014!

Happy New Year Everyone!

Coming home from the station is a 20 to 25 minute walk. In that time I passed three sets of police cars attending three different "incidents". And this was at about 6pm local time, so no one had got time to get really drunk yet! God only knows what it will be like come midnight!

I passed one "incident" where a cop was trying to calm down an irate witness/perp (not sure which). The witness/perp was being a complete asshole, and I could see the cop was starting to crack and loose his cool. There was no way he was going to make it to gone midnight, when his shift finally ends, poor guy.

Me, I'm staying in tonight, watching Amazon TV and the New Year's Eve special of "Mock The Week" (a satirical news quiz) on "proper" TV. I'm not alone, I've got a nice big bottle of Scottish whisky. And if that runs out, I'll call on my two good friends Mr Jack Daniels and Mr Johnnie Walker.

And I don't intend to go out tomorrow either. I'll wait until Friday morning, then I'll go outside and see what is left of the town!
