This I cannot understand:
We have had almost constant rain throughout August, a few dry days and one sunny day, but mostly rain. On The Isle Of Wight (just a few miles off the south coast) August was the wettest month since 1912. It rained solidly here over the weekend and Monday. Today, Wednesday And Thursday it rained on and off. Yet when I checked my window boxes just now, the plants were keeling over and dying because the soil was bone dry!!!!! ![]() |
