I am a moron! This morning I created a header for a witchcraft site in Gimp and tried to match the background colour of the site to the background colour of the header because (I found) Gimp's "HTML notation" function is very inaccurate. Spent about half an hour using "trial and error" to get it perfect.

Just went back to work on the site and realised that, since the header was a GIF, I could simply have re-saved it and made the background transparent. Would have taken all of two seconds, and saved me half an hour of pointless work!
