I was in your shoes nine months ago infact last New Years Eve the wife and I had agreed that I would give this a shot full time and if I wasn't makeing a certain dollar amount by May 1st. I would take a standing job offer, I didn't have to make that phone call.
You have alot of hard work ahead of you. I would start by reading the board use the boards search feature to learn about subjects that aren't current topics.
Take notes and don't be afraid to post your questions.

Get a paid hosting plan at a dependeble hosting provider, it's only like $10 a month (use the search function or greenguyandjim resources to find one
You need to learn at least basic HTML there's lot's of free HTML instruction on the net do a search, then start takeing a peek at the source code on different websites to see what code they used.
I like the name of you web site (it's a niche that's close to my heart) but your page doesn't load
