Ummm.. maybe it was the way I was taught (having to enter each file name to transfer by hand back in the old DOS days), but I have never allowed my FTP program to transfer anything but what I select. Currently, I use Core FTP and like it. It's pretty much like using File Manager, and not a huge learning curve. Pretty transparent to me. I have never used any program anywhere for FTP unattended.
If you like Filezilla, why not simply copy or move the files you want transferred into a different directory that doesn't include any files you don't want transferred? Takes just a few seconds, really. (I have only used Filezilla a few times and didn't really bond with it, sorry)

When I upload galleries, I upload folders.
Sometimes those folders contain Photoshop-files. There is no reason to have them lying around on my server ![]() It's probably never gonna happen that I will use up my server-space, but PSD's does add to the numbers when there are a few of them. Dreamweaver ignores files that have nothing to do on a server (if I tell Dreamweaver to do so) I also know how to code, that's what I've done since forever, but as a part of my education, and later jobs, I've come to know Dreamweaver very well. So I've invested in it. And, I would love to have the FTP function still, but it seems I have to forget that ![]() Filezilla is very good, IMO, so I'll probably stick to it. But every second I can save is worth saving J lly |
