I was a teen, in Canada, in the 70s but I never heard of them. I guess in the pre-Internet days it was mostly whatever the radio stations fed us. Whenever I listen to a feed of oldies music on the Internet, I find it interesting when there is a group I've never, ever heard of. The program director was king back then. I'll have to check them out.

I think they were a part of the Dr. FeelGood set as well. It was a bit before my time but they seem to have been a prelude, in some way, to the whole punk thing. Like MC5 but different.
