Sounds a bit like the "logic" of the password-sharing sites, where they have a disclaimer about them being there for the benefit of the paysite owners, to let them know about compromised sites/passwords. They also offer to take down any stolen passwords if the site owner "requests" it. Yeah, what nice folks performing such a useful service.
