I was thinking those numbers were kinda small myself but I didn't want to "pee in anyones cheerios" lol. Send about a 1000 a day to a sponsor and you can see where it goes.

5000 over a month is a pretty good gauge. After you've sent that you can tell where it's going. I usually try something out up to 5-6k over a week or so. I then determine from that whether the sponsor is a keeper.
