Is there a tool --->
Hi I wonder if there's a tool to check where a particular website/gallery appears on the internet.
I mean you made a gallery and it got listed by the hun, and then lots of smaller TGP's picked that gallery and its listed there also. Its just an example , but thats what Im looking for. Besides stats (webalizer , awstats etc.) |

Screw you, guys. I'm going home.

I guess you don't want to use 3 party countes as new rule appeared at most traffic sources
Probably there is no other way than add hidden php counter(script) that will add all reffering urls (and all required data) into particular txt file (or any other database). With some programming skills you could create easy to browse database with refferers and other visitor stats (but it can take much HD space) and no one will even notice |

Hey,
I am just finishing up my script for sale, that do exactly what you need. You just put in a database in what sites you expect you gallery to appear. After that write for what url you will be searching, and the script goes and searches in which sites your url have appeared. It has many more extra features..Message me if you are interested , i can set you up very special deal..Hit me on ICQ 411661 or through the form at my website http://www.kaktusancorp.com Thanks! |

grzepa - if you're looking for a program that will find your galleries on sites that you did not submit too, I doubt you'll find one that searches the entire internet - LOL
Best best would be to search your domain in the popular SE's (Google, Yahoo, etc) |

there is one built into your web server.
its called a log file. most competent server admins can set your logs to record the referering url so you can see where your hits came from. any thing else would be a total waste of resources and wouldn't be able to provide you with even a 10th of the information your logs will provide you with. |

Actually there is one but for the life of me I can't remember the name....It had a week or so free trial. It fairly sucked tho so I never bothered with it again.
As bret said server logs are your friend.

I use Master Stats. I don't have any problems getting listed on the TGPs I post to. There are some that won't accept counters, but the ones that do, like The Hun, don't have a problem with it.

I have a stats script that when run produces a list of every site linking to one of your pages and what page they are linking to.
the script is called "Reference Summary" Unfortunately I don't remeber where I found it and the site listed on the script is now 404. If this script sounds like what your looking for hit me up on ICQ and I'll try to get you a copy. |

Rock stars ... is there anything they don't know?

The best for is to install some server software that read your apache LOG files. Webalizer could be a good choice!.
