Mirror site - what is this?

I was looking at my web stats for www.shoekittens.com and saw this:

https://www.heshan18.com/dmirror/htt...arry/tgp1.html

What does this mean? Is someone copying my site or something?

Bill

view the source. on the first line you see this:

resource has been modified by DynaWeb proxy

Go to the root of the domain, its written in chinese or japanese or something.

I'd ban it.

Yes, I saw all that - really wierd!

But is this a bad thing? It seems I'm getting lots of traffic through it - lol!

Thanks,

Bill

If its increasing your conversion statistics then maybe you'll want to leave it, if the traffic is doing little more than eating all your bandwith however, I'd ban it.

What it might be is some tgp's linklists trade listed links with others, or ones that are starting out sometimes I suppose "shop" for links from other sites, and list them on their own site as well. I'd keep an eye on bandwith usage and conversion rates.

My thought (posted in another thread about that other proxy) is that google MAY see the content as a duplicate, and possibly drop one of the listings. You might as an SE expert about it, but, it seems somewhat akin to Google Scraping.
