Photoshop Help

I need to remove the "noise" from my digital cam photos. I was using Corel Paint Shop Pro to do this (because it has a "remove dig cam noise" button) but the more I look at the pics - the more I don't really like what it does. It makes the photos look too professional (as I run amateur sites). It seems to take out the noise - but when doing so it seems to blur the pixels to give everything an "airbrushed" look.

Is there away to remove the noise in Photoshop CS. Ive toyed around with the noise settings but I can never get the "clear" images. I'm using a 6 megapix Canon Power Shot - and my lighting isnt always perfect - but its, again, amateur. Its not that the photos are terrible - but they just have that touch of "grainyness" and Im not digging it!

Speaking of Corel Paint Shop - does anyone know if they have a feature similar to the actions feature that photoshop has?

Speaking of the actions feature of Photoshop- is there a way to apply actions to a whole group of photos instead of individually hitting play?

One last thing about photoshop... It seems that my pages all loose a little clearity when I save them and host them on the web. Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks all!!!

I don't know about the first question, but for the clearity when you are saving them, when you press save for web, change the quality on the right of that window, turn it up a bit, try to find a nice balance between picture size and quality.

Good luck with it

Well you know boys, a nuclear reactor is a lot like women. You just have to read the manual and press the right button

Select the desired action, then go to File -> Automate -> Batch. From the "source" combo box, select opened files.

Try the "sharpen edges" filter on the whole image before slicing. Or, when saving for the web, increase the quality of individual slices.
