why not cover our ass and link to sex addicts anonymous?

okay i was thinking about this the last time i was in vegas... ever notice all the signs saying "if your addicted to gambling call this number" or "take this pamphlett" or whatever?

why do they do that? its prolly a law, but even if it wasnt wouldnt it be a good PR move to do so anyway? and in that same vein wouldnt it be a good idea for us in the adult industry to do something similar?

i mean many of us link to cybersitter or netnanny and the like, why not link to some porn addiction help site too?

i bring it up here because im not sure how to go about it... i wonder if those organizations would be unhappy about porn sites linking to them or if they would be excited about it like gambling anonymous is with casinos showing their number

i guess another question would be ... would you do it? i mean if we dont start policing ourselves the govt is going to step up and start doing it for us, maybe its time to set up something similar to what the movie industry did when uncle sam was breathing down its neck? an Adult Website association which rates sites wouldnt be a bad idea (although the logistics would be an iron clad bitch to work out) i just dont have the power to make it happen. hell, there might even be somthing like that in existance but i just dont know about it...

anyway what do yall think?
