DON'T find Australians offensive. In fact in the current climate where a hell of a lot of people are complaining "too many foreigners over here taking our jobs", the Aussies are about the only race that get exempt from this complaint.
And please don't consider Sharon Osbourne as a typical Brit, she isn't! It is like us considering Sarah Palin is a typical American!
As to why your friend from Devon would think this; well in Britain people from the West country (Devon and Cornwall) are considered inbred country bumpkins with six fingers on each hand, and the IQ of pavement, who, when not fucking their sister, are fucking the livestock! So please also don't consider your friend from Devon as a typical Brit, that is practically a hanging offence over here!
