About Starting a new LL

I have done most other forms of porn sites, i.e. TGP, Pay, PicPost,Blogs, etc. But I always wanted to do a LL just never wanted to devote the time. I have changed my mind since then and have the time available to actually do it.

As far as good mechanics and web fundamentals (scripting,software,graphics), I am in great shape, the only thing I lack in LL sites is of course the experience. So I was wondering about a few things, maybe some of you might want to chime in on these points, I would appreciate any and all input you could muster.

- Best way to initially populate the link database? I figure I could either build a bunch from scratch myself, used sponsor free sites (although this would kind of put the LL in a Spam category right away no?) or request submissions but don't populate until you reach X number of sites. Or I guess LL owners would not like it if you copied some sites from their list right? Even though their link is up there? I always wondered how they would feel about that (of course I would ask first)

- Is it best to just pick one format (say LL) at first and not LL, TGP, PicPost,Blog etc. I guess I could add those later as the traffic justifies it no?

Of course there are other things to consider, but those were the two that came to mind initially.
