Happy Hiatus Monday - Only 5 Days Left!

Morning!

I know a lot of you are following the countdown...ONLY 5 DAYS LEFT!!

I guess I should explain my absence, seeing as the last time I was here was Friday. Saturday was going to be a 1/2 day anyway, but then we had a small family emergency (my girls & I are fine) so that cut my 1/2 day in 1/2. I took pretty much all of yesterday off from the work thing, taking care of all my Fantasy Football & Hockey crap, then helping The Bitch with some crap around the house, then my niece & her Dad* came by for dinner. There was also a lot of GTA V with The Bitch

* My niece's Dad is not the sharpest knife in the drawer (he's more like that special butter spreader thing that comes with fancy silverware sets) He asked me to fax some papers for him. I told him where the fax machine was, and he sorta just stood there. I asked if he knew how to fax something & he replied that he wasn't sure. I told him it was VERY simple: Place the papers face down in the top, dial the number, hit send. Off he goes, taking my niece down to my old office with him. She comes back up about 5 min later & says that he needs help, because the fax machine started to print on his papers. Very confused, I got up & went down to see what's what. Apparently, my fax machine was out of paper & had some stored in memory. This genius put his papers in the blank paper feeder...FACE UP! He dialed & hit Start, which started to print out the stored documents.

I had to think back to the 1st time I used a fax machine, and I'm pretty sure it was 1989. He's not young - I think he may be over 50. Please explain to me how someone could have gone the last 25 years & NEVER used a fax machine?!



Today is another scheduled Hiatus Monday for me, so unless my Dr feels generous & fills my scripts today, I'll be on the couch for the rest of the day
