It's a recovered first Saturday of March 2014

Spent many hours yesterday trying to recover content on a drive back from the early nineties for Foxy. She had a 300 gig drive and I had a copy of the 300 gig drive so you would think the data would be safe, nope.

She brought her drive over and it was dead, dead, wouldn't even spin up. So I got the drive that I had and tried to mount it. After about 20 minutes finally got it to mount. Wanted to copy it over to another drive but Foxy insisted on taking it home. After that it never mounted again.

Left DiskDrill running all night on it doing a sector copy to another drive and it managed to copy everything to a new drive. Then reformatted the old drive and copied everything back to it again so that we would once again have two copies.

All this because one of the trannies on the drive died last week and a bunch of trannies are having some kind of dead tranny get together and needed pics off the drive of the dead tranny.

I guess I can now add to my services dead tranny storage since I'll be keeping the copy of the drive at my place.

Other than storing dead tranny just a day of work, the gym, and errands planned on this chilly first Saturday of March 2014.
