<blink> I miss you so much!
it got killed, died an untimely death because people were annoyed by the flashing, but attention getting text.
Now when we want to flash text we have to use graphics and how is that SE friendly? anyone else miss the much maligned but very useful <blink>animate my words</blink> tag? spaz |

It's certainly not an auto decline with me...if used sparingly of course. I still see it once in a while, though not a lot...which is just fine
![]() Not aware of anyone that instantly declines for its use, but there may be some out there. |

Shut up brain, or I'll stab you with a Q-tip!

You could try cobbling together some javascript code that changes the font-color property on a timer. 3-5 lines of code (maybe).

As to where it works, I use FF for all reviewing and browsing. Do check my own pages in IE for compatibility issues of course. Blink still works in FF...just checked IE and you're right...no joy there ![]() |

This disturbs me a bit. The reason is that I use TTT to do traffic trades on my TGP and part of TTT is ttt-in.php which sets the cookie on the end users browser using a single line of js.

This is somewhat aking to FF having made somewhat of a focus to do away with obsolete js compatibility by forcing usage of modern element addressing schema. |

That is funny. I always thought that <blink> was limited to netscape and <marquee> was limted to IE. <blink> wouldn't be so bad if you could control the attributes.

I use it for geo ads all the time. The only problem is submission scripts that automaticly reject because of it. Although I don't think I'll go through that trouble over something like <blink> Graphics are better for that
