here this is kind of funny and you can read the full thing at wikipedia ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blink_tag )
Quote:
Despite the element being initially popular amongst personal homepages, it has since fallen into disfavor due to its overuse and the difficulty it presents in reading. The tag achieved notoriety for being extremely user-unfriendly and epitomized many websites when the Internet first received limited popularity amongst home users.

The inventor of the blink tag, Lou Montulli, has said repeatedly in interviews that he considers "the blink tag to be the worst thing I've ever done for the Internet".
now i think that's just rude for such a cute little tag LOL

That is funny.

I always thought that <blink> was limited to netscape and <marquee> was limted to IE.

<blink> wouldn't be so bad if you could control the attributes.

I found a ready made javascript that would allow you to control the attributes of blinking text and it actually made it pretty fancy. but then the whole java thing sort of goes agsinst what i was saying which is;

isnt blink cute and useful? heh heh

Most reasonable people don't care if you use javascript.

I use it for geo ads all the time.

The only problem is submission scripts that automaticly reject because of it.

Although I don't think I'll go through that trouble over something like <blink>

Graphics are better for that
