Happy Tuesday

Good morning

Up and working as usual, is on and with this cold it'll be a refill kind of day. Played basketball last night, first game of the new year and woke up tired and slightly sore, typical morning after basketball lol.

Up early for no reason at all except my brain decided it was time to wake up despite my best efforts to stay in bed.

Just my usual day of work plus a late day doctors appointment. Also I have an Air BnB guest coming in this evening.

Sleepy

Morning!

Occupy a Federal Nature Reserve & no one seems to care, but a 10 hour documentary on Netflix about a guy that was exonerated 18 years after he was put in jail for rape, only to be convicted of murder under very suspicious circumstances...well, that's all anyone seems to be talking about today! Just remember who told you about it 1st:

Ramster made me do grunt work yesterday I do have to admit: it is kinda nice to do something other than LOR

Good Morning

Yes Greenie, I saw it yesterday. Was really nice as there was only a dozen people plus we went to the theater with reclining leather chairs which really makes the experience nice and comfortable.

Well the rain didn't start yesterday which turned out to be good because I had forgotten to check the roof only to find that lots of loose shingles where two sections meet creating a channel down the roof. So spent the morning patching all that up before going to the movies. All the muscles in my legs, ass and back are really sore after this and the day before but thankfully the rain is here so I have days to recover.

Childish things that annoy me:

I'm reading a book, it is an attempt to create a Dan Brown type thriller around a lost Shakespeare play. It's not a very good book, but what really annoyed me is that the main character, who is supposed to be a Shakespeare scholar, quoted "All that glitters is not gold." which is wrong. It is a common mistake, a lot of people make it, but it is wrong. The character who says it is supposed to be a top notch Shakespeare scholar, and "All that glitters is not gold." Is A newbie error. A first year Shakespeare student would not make that mistake, let alone a Shakespeare scholar.

Yeah, I know, it is unimportant, but it is annoying me!

Puppy News

The puppy hit a milestone today, he caught a dog chew I threw at him. That may not seem big for a 16 month old puppy, but it is for this fellow, first time he has done it.

It is not that he can't catch. He is quite good at catching. He loves it when I throw balls, sticks, Frisbees, or one of his squeaky toys for him to catch. But he does not catch food. If you throw food at him he ducks and lets it fall to the floor before sniffing it and checking it is edible.

Today was the first day he actually trusted anyone enough not to poison him, and caught the chew.

And since it was me who threw it, I feel honoured!

Yeah but rock singers are sort of known to be "uneducated", so no one is surprised when they misquote Shakespeare. But when you make your lead character a Shakespeare scholar, you kind of need to know enough Shakespeare so that this main character does not look like an idiot!

They just had a big article about this show on Britain's main breakfast news program (radio). Although to be fair they did also point out the holes in the show, and mentioned how the producers glossed over some evidence that made their case look bad.
