Think about what it would take for anyone to be the #1 player for 3 years, the odds of that are astronomically high, he would have to be 100% for about 39 games give or take, he has 13 down and has 26 or so to go and make sure you add in how many other kids who are out there playing their best, and think of injuries, schedules, rivalry games etc.
Archie Griffin won it twice, but everything I have read and seen on the subject suggests he wasn’t even the best player one of those years let alone both of those years.
But I have never been a fan on the Heisman, too many times it’s a popularity contest and not based on talent, but of course there are those exceptions.
