I don't really see why so much emphasis is placed on Alexa anyways. It is so easy to manipulate the numbers on it. For example, when I added the Alexa toolbar to my site about 2 months ago, my site was ranked 1 million+. Since I work on it almost every day, each page I work on counts as a hit. Now I am ranked somewhere around 80,000 and dropping. Granted I have set up traffic trades which push about 10,000 hits a day through it as well as I actively promote the site, but I really think it has to do with the amount of time I spend there!
If you look at Google, the site doesn't even have a PR ranking (which that is what I don't understand since I do have sites linking back to it)
