The written word traditionally enjoyed much more freedom from prosecution than other media, but within the last year, I've seen at least one news story about a web site owner being charged with obscenity due to, I think, pedo stories. One can write and fantasize whatever they wish. It's the publishing of such material that'll get you arrested.
