question about story content

When Japanese comics are translated into English for sale on the American market, they sometimes have to change the age of characters because they are 'old enough' in Japan but 'underage' in America.

Ironically it is illegal to publish peado stories in England, but I would guess that some of our stories have to be adapted for America because the minimum age here is 16, whereas in the USA it is 18.
