Yikes, scary one.. glad you had it checked right away.. sorry you need to shell out for a new one, but it's bound to be nice and quiet and more efficient, so thats a good thing.
When mine kicks in, I have to crank up the tv volume it's so loud.. I WISH it would break, since I rent.. they'd replace it damn quick hehe

My brother has oil heat and they told him that the new ones are not much more efficient then the old ones.
