If all the pics have a longer width, then your thumbs need to be the same way - try resizing them to 120x90 (assuming you want to keep the width at 120 for the thumbs) That should keep the aspect ratio the same & the thumbs will not look squished together.

Ok so that's why a lot of people do 90x120 thumbs, because most pics look good that way? What about doing sizes like 120x120 or 100x100 do they also look bad or...?

I am not set on a specific thumb size really, but I think that thumbs should be bigger than 90x120, the surfer can better see what's goin' on then

I think what GG meant was that your thumbs need to be the same aspect ratio as the big pics, assuming you're using an automated thumbs program.
