While I am loathe to agree with someone with juggernaut's spelling skills, I have to agree with him here. Studies regarding the effects of second-hand tobacco smoke are specious, at best.

I have no doubt that there are people who are severely bothered by cigarette smoke. I get nauseous and head-achy just walking through the "gardening" aisle at most superstores. And we won't even get into my housemates' cologne habits. Gads.

There are a lot of smokers who need to be more consciencious of the effects their habit has on others. It IS a habit, and we tend to take it for granted. That's not a good thing. But DON'T FUCKING DISS ME IN MY OWN HOUSE. That's the law. And yes, that hits a nerve. Ask me to refrain from smoking in your presence, and I'll probably oblige. Or, we can all go outside and converse and hopefully the miniscule percentage of my smoke that dares to invade your space won't send you into paroxysms.

I'm sorry, I do get overly defensive where this is concerned, but primarily because there is SO MUCH false, misleading and outright bullshit "information." I shouldn't smoke. It's bad for me. I get that. I also shouldn't blow it in your face. Being a decent human being, I get that, too. I'm just damned sick and tired of being demonized because I choose to continue with a bad habit.

I would think anyone who works in porn for a living would understand what it feels like to be ostracized based on false "facts".

That's exactly why I keep my facts straight and steer clear of addictive substances that may cloud my judgement.

Anyway Mishi, I think you know that I'm the kind of guy who likes the negative attention of being ostracized. I tell everyone what I do. Well, except for the moms who wait for their kids to come out along side of me at school. They scare me.
