I agree. If I had to pick, actually I'd pick bottom row center, which is usually directly above the enter link, but I don't think it really makes any difference and I'd certainly never decline a site because of the location of my recip in a recip table

I also think position really doesn't matter. The biggest, eye catching recip might get a few extra clicks - which could be an argument for encouraging submitters to make their own text recips.
