I'm not 100% sure on this since I just started using wordpress myself. In the admin area under options/discussion, you can hold a comment in the queue if it contains more than "?" links. When ? is a value you set. There are other options you can set there to slow down or stop the spamming. Thanks for the info, it is something to think about. With 3 spam keywords, I could eliminate about 99% of the comment spam coming in.
I already moderate all comments with links but Bblog really doesn't have a good way to delete them from the queue. You've got to check a check box on each comment individually, no mass check so you can imagine how long it took to simply clean this up and the fact that I probably have the same thing to do again tomorrow.
