The best thing about a LL is that when it is finally making a profit (which can take 2 years) it is something worthwhile and can be built more after that - the worst thing is it usually takes a good 2 years to see a steady income.
If you are just looking for something to run your free site traffic to - definitely agree with the others - a hub is the best way to go - of course a hub can become a LL eventually  |

Yep a hub lists your free sites - of course it can also be your main traffic point (hence the name hub) where you direct everything to be filtered through - and not only list your own free sites, but hosted free sites, links out to different niche hubs you might want to build so that you become basically everything a LL is eventually

There's some great information regarding hubs is this thread:

I think that the idea is to have many hubs linking to your sites in your nice cosy network of porn, mixing in plenty of hosted free sites and maybe a full page ad here and there. I think the consensus is that, (among other things), you use your hubs to help keep Joe Surfer bouncing around within your network of sites until he buys something or goes. But when does a hub become a linklist? I would imagine that the answer is "whenever you want it to". I could be wrong though - I'm a new guy and I'm British. Somebody please correct me if I'm talking garbage! |
