I wont argue about it because thems the rules. I can live with it. I will submit everywhere, get listed wherever I can, and eventually build up a good reputation for myself. I can garauntee the sites that list me 100% effort towards quality and no funny business. Hell, Ill even give them my real name if they ask. But I wont ever make that information available to the general public. When I was registering I figured that alot of adult webmasters had private whois information. I certainly wouldnt want anyone in this little town knowing I have an adult site. At least not until Im making some good money from it

Now that Im a bit more experienced with this whole thing I can see the point - to a point. If we lived in a more perfect world cheaters would all use their real names and info when registering domains. But I think if someone is going to scam they wouldnt go and get private whois information... that costs extra dammit! lol. Its supposed to be better |badidea|

This subject comes up every few weeks it seems.

And every new free site builder has pretty much the same reasons. As has been said so many times in the past, if you're that concerned about being involved in this business...it might be worth a re-think about getting involved in this business. Your choice of course

However, you will find that a lot of link sites will instantly decline your submissions based solely on that private whois...no matter how clean your sites may look.

Theres nothing to re-think Mr Yum. I choose to keep my personal information private. I did the same on my mainstream domains and Im glad I didnt re-think getting into that business.

I dont want to argue about it and theres really no point in argueing. I have my whois information private, its going to stay that way. The sites that wont list me because of this I simply wont submit to. Ive gotten my entire submit list from the greenguy and jims resource pages and from following links in posts here on the board. I visit one adult webmaster board and this is it. Everyone knows me now or at least will eventually know me. If I scam you you can come back here and call me names or something. I dont know what else to say... Im ok with you not listing my site. I dont have any hard feelings about it. Im sure you and all the others who have this rule have good reasons. But its not going to change my decision and Im not going to quit simply because there are some people who think they need to know it.

Oh my god... I think I just ranted lol. Sorry about that. I re-read my post and it sounds like I have veins popping out of my forehead while Im writing I just spent the last 8 hours straight working on my first free site and I need some sleep. The sad thing is that I spent all that time on it and it looks like SHIT! Oh well... probably wont get listed because of the whois thing anyways lol.

This adult thing is just a hobby until I start seeing some green from it. I think that if I can get listed regularly at a few link lists of other board members that I will eventually get a good reputation and maybe a few of you will let the whois thing slide. If not, Im ok with that too. Ill just have to work extra hard to find the ll's that will list me. And I DO have a little link list of my own that Ive been working on And its coming along pretty nicely too I must say.

Later,
WB!

What a smug and hurtful thing to say. Im thinking less and less of you all the time Mr Yum. Ive had quite a bit of success in everything Ive done in my life and I have no reason to believe that this will be any different. I choose to keep my personal information private, If you cant understand or respect that then its your problem. I dont need to get listed on your link list or trade links with you or have any contact with you at all. It wont effect me one bit.

When you read my posts and see my post count you see a newbie. But I can assure you that Im no newbie to internet marketing and sales. Ive been doing mainstream for over 5 years and Ive been very successful with it. Ive been spending my days since I started into adult building up my web and pyramids and sooner or later Im going to start getting spidered, traffic and sales. Thats just the way it is. Theres no luck involved, just experience, research and hard work.

Again, no worries WB...though I am glad to see you posted the above

Just to be really clear, Simon hit the nail on the head. I certainly wish you no ill will...which is why I'm not posting in your review thread. I've made my opinion on the subject perfectly clear in this thread...others will make their own choices in the other thread without my input.

I don't doubt your success at all in mainstream, as you're obviously a rather intelligent individual...which comes across clearly in your posts. I also have no doubts of your potential for success in the adult arena. I'm simply trying to offer up my own experiences as a free site builder and link list owner/reviewer over the past several years.

So, with all that said...you're going to do what you're doing to do. And you'll learn from those experiences over time. I would also add that you'll find the adult arena to be quite different from mainstream in a lot of ways.

And with that, I sincerely wish you the best of luck. If I may ever be of assistance, feel free to hit me up

Simon, thanks very much for the kind words...greatly appreciated my friend
