Theres nothing to re-think Mr Yum. I choose to keep my personal information private. I did the same on my mainstream domains and Im glad I didnt re-think getting into that business.

I dont want to argue about it and theres really no point in argueing. I have my whois information private, its going to stay that way. The sites that wont list me because of this I simply wont submit to. Ive gotten my entire submit list from the greenguy and jims resource pages and from following links in posts here on the board. I visit one adult webmaster board and this is it. Everyone knows me now or at least will eventually know me. If I scam you you can come back here and call me names or something. I dont know what else to say... Im ok with you not listing my site. I dont have any hard feelings about it. Im sure you and all the others who have this rule have good reasons. But its not going to change my decision and Im not going to quit simply because there are some people who think they need to know it.

Oh my god... I think I just ranted lol. Sorry about that. I re-read my post and it sounds like I have veins popping out of my forehead while Im writing I just spent the last 8 hours straight working on my first free site and I need some sleep. The sad thing is that I spent all that time on it and it looks like SHIT! Oh well... probably wont get listed because of the whois thing anyways lol.

This adult thing is just a hobby until I start seeing some green from it. I think that if I can get listed regularly at a few link lists of other board members that I will eventually get a good reputation and maybe a few of you will let the whois thing slide. If not, Im ok with that too. Ill just have to work extra hard to find the ll's that will list me. And I DO have a little link list of my own that Ive been working on And its coming along pretty nicely too I must say.

Later,
WB!

What a smug and hurtful thing to say. Im thinking less and less of you all the time Mr Yum. Ive had quite a bit of success in everything Ive done in my life and I have no reason to believe that this will be any different. I choose to keep my personal information private, If you cant understand or respect that then its your problem. I dont need to get listed on your link list or trade links with you or have any contact with you at all. It wont effect me one bit.

When you read my posts and see my post count you see a newbie. But I can assure you that Im no newbie to internet marketing and sales. Ive been doing mainstream for over 5 years and Ive been very successful with it. Ive been spending my days since I started into adult building up my web and pyramids and sooner or later Im going to start getting spidered, traffic and sales. Thats just the way it is. Theres no luck involved, just experience, research and hard work.

Again, no worries WB...though I am glad to see you posted the above

Just to be really clear, Simon hit the nail on the head. I certainly wish you no ill will...which is why I'm not posting in your review thread. I've made my opinion on the subject perfectly clear in this thread...others will make their own choices in the other thread without my input.

I don't doubt your success at all in mainstream, as you're obviously a rather intelligent individual...which comes across clearly in your posts. I also have no doubts of your potential for success in the adult arena. I'm simply trying to offer up my own experiences as a free site builder and link list owner/reviewer over the past several years.

So, with all that said...you're going to do what you're doing to do. And you'll learn from those experiences over time. I would also add that you'll find the adult arena to be quite different from mainstream in a lot of ways.

And with that, I sincerely wish you the best of luck. If I may ever be of assistance, feel free to hit me up

Simon, thanks very much for the kind words...greatly appreciated my friend

Even I would debate that one with you.

The main difference (IMHO) is that there are alot more websites/pages going after alot fewer keywords. I mean, in mainstream you can promote everything from acne cream to zippers but there are only so many keywords associated with porn that have a corresponding paysite to promote with those keywords. There are alot of odd fetishes like boot wearing redheads and bearded midgets but you'll be lucky to find a sponsor site for 1/10th of the less mainstream niches and fetishes. So what you end up with are 60,000,000 pages all optimized for the keyword porn or lesbian or whatnot.

I think the biggest mistake I made going in was that I didnt consider that I would need to get public submissions from somewhere to fill up my link list. I had my mind on other aspects and completely overlooked that part. About 1/2 way through building my site I realized that I had no clue where to begin getting them. I spent a while looking around and ended up signing up with linkalotapuss's submit page trade... thing. Which he didnt list my site by the way, and an auto-submitter program called russian submitter.

Neither of them have sent me any submissions. I get a trinkle of tgp and free site submissions right now but... nothing near what I need. I dont want to start looking for link trades until I get a decent amount of submitted content, but I probably wont get very much submitted content unless I have some link trades...

There are 2 problems with this

1.) Sometimes the guy you punch in the nose really did mean good luck.
2.) Sometimes the guy you punch in the nose is the only one leaving the bar at 2:00am in the middle of december who has jumper cables.

Careful, you're starting to sound fairly intelligent again

Starting a new link site is a LONG and arduous process. It becomes a love/hate relationship over time...not unlike my last marriage.

It can take months sometimes to get listed with linkalotapuss. I seem to recall he's usually got about 50 projects going at once and it takes him a while to get around to new listings at times.

As for content, you can certainly add some sponsor hosted free sites to your categories. You're also welcome to harvest any listings you'd like from my site...provided you write your own descriptions.

To get new submitters, there are a couple things you can do. One is to post in the Link Trades forums here asking for submit page (or other pages too) trades. Getting some trades up with other sites should get you a few new submitters. You'll also find as your se rankings improve, submitters will start coming to you as they see your site in the engines.

Oh, and don't worry...once you really get rolling...the Russians will find you and you'll get tons of sites every day

Agreed, one must stand up for oneself at all times. I remember once facing down a 300 pound linkbacker in my youth because my girlfriend had flipped him off. Fortunately, I had a motorcycle helmet in my hand at the time...long story

Hell, WB...I could fit both 1 and 2 there...lol
