What's to do in Pittsburg?

I've only ever been to the airport. And it's not too bad.

Are you going to Pitt for a specific reason?? Or just to see the good ole USA.. because there are a few places outside of pittsburgh that are interesting (my godfather lived there so we went yearly for a visit)

In Wyoming PA (just outside of Scranton) is Victory Pig ("the Pig") Pizza. Now as odd as it sounds.. we used to drive 3 hours from NYC to get a case of frozen pizza to take back home for parties. Its made on a long rectangle but much thinner than most loaf pizzas and it has a homemade sauce to die for.

The Kutztown Festival starts the 1st of July but it's awesome if you are looking for a real slice of "old" americana. The fresh roasted corn is worth the trip itself.

In pittsburgh itself there was a growing art community on the southside that i understand has become quite trendy or as trendy as you can get in coal country but lots of nice shops, bars and restaurants.

Also the Carnegie Museum is pretty interesting since he was a fanatic for contemporary art and it is the home of the Warhol museum.
