hopefully we'll have decent weather this week. Its funny, everyone that wants to visit, visits in the summertime and can't understand why the 'sunshine state' has rain. You try to explain the tropical effect, how the weather systems work, why it rains in the afternoons for 20 minutes, how coastal winds and currents work, why the sqall line is usually 12 miles from the coast, etc., but, they continue to visit in the summer.

Then you try to explain the Chesapeake Bay's unique weather sink properties and why that affects the weather later in the winter when our spring is just beautiful, and say, if you want sun and warm weather, spring break is just about the perfect time to visit and leave all that slush, grey sky and rain behind, but, they just don't get it.

I might have to make a slideshow presentation detailing weather phenomenon in Florida versus the climates where most of our family lives so that they can choose a better time to visit Florida.

Personally, I don't mind the heat, it got up to 78F yesterday with a cool of 76F -- our thermostat likes that +-1 degree from the setting. I was looking at a few things and determined that our house is underinsulated which is making our climate controlled environmental bubble a tad expensive to cool down, so, since my nephew is here, and I need to run some cable in the attic, I might take the time to install some radiant barrier to see if a $60 investment + time will make any noticable effect in the runtime of the A/C unit. Somehow, I don't see how aluminum foil will make that much of a difference, but, the theory is very similar to making an airgap in a shade structure and I have seen how that works and it does reduce the thermal effects quite nicely. The odd thing is that the foil is supposed to face the 'wrong' way.

I'm not sure how I'll squeeze all of that fun into the day, so, I'll work at night.

Time to get to work I suppose. It's been raining here but I took the rottie for a walk anyway, the big baby has been glued to me since I got home which can be a bit inconvenient.

Kinky, where's the pics that caused the accident? The view must have been pretty good
