Yep Kinky, agreed about the Sylvia/Monson slowness until Monson took him down.
But then I had to feel sorry for Monson because his diddy little arms weren't long enough to reach Sylvia's face but Sylvia was still able to land some nice punches while on the bottom with those loooooong arms of his. ![]() I'd like to see a super-heavyweight division at some point in the future, as Sylvia/Monson was a good example of a size mis-match, although I used to enjoy it when Mike Tyson destroyed huge boxers a few years ago and Tyson is a small heavyweight. I think that if BJ Penn gets his fitness sorted out he's about the only current Welterweight able to pose a threat to GSP, but he'll have to catch GSP making a mistake to beat him. Other than that I see nobody able to take GSP's title for a long time. Matt Serra is usually great to watch but lacks the skills to come close to GSP. GSP is one of the best all-round fighters I've ever seen - he's the complete package. I'm a big Chuck fan, he was the first UFC fighter I ever saw fight, but I'm concerned that he'll gas and get pounded if he can't knock Tito out within two/three rounds. However, it's hard NOT to imagine Chuck landing a good shot at some point early on, and with his dynamite hands Tito will fall again. Great fight card for December 30th so far. I'm concerned that Forrest Griffin will slip up with Keith Jardine, and I'm looking forward to Andrei Arlovski climbing back up to his awesome best. Will Bisping really be there? ![]() |

![]() ![]() and BJ is going back down to his real weight of 155 where I think he will once again be champ, he only fought Hughes that first time becasue they need a fill, he was supposed to lose badly in their first fight but Hughes didnt really train for his fights back then, a Penn-GSP re-match probably won't happen anytime soon, and GSP would rock his ass as long as he didn't get poked in the eye early in the first round ![]() I used to dislike Tito and his bad boy image but after seeing what he did for those kids as a coach on the TUF show i got mad respect for him, I am hoping he can beat Chuck so we get a rubber match 3rd fight, I love The Iceman too but if he loses to Tito then that re-match is gonna be the fight of a lifetime! BTW the next Spike Fight Night Live )Dec. 13 I think) is featuring Diego Sanchez-Joe Riggs... that to me is a really good matchup, Riggs is a local boy from here in Phoenix so I like to root for him but he is gonna have his hands full with The Nightmare... I'm waiting for the GSP-Diego matchup so that somebody can finally knock the jesus outta Sanchez ![]()

![]() I've seen him a few times around town and I'm the only one of my friends that has never been introduced to him at one point or another. BTW, that makes me a big Chuck fan, because he's close enough to kick my ass if I'm not. |
