If every group that went up the mountain brought back a little more trash than they've taken up, problem resolves itself.
Whenever I was out Steelhead fishing I always came back to the car with the back pouch of my fishing vest full of trash I picked up along the bank. Then again, I was only at about 4000 ft. elevation rather than +10000 ft. |

Maybe some of that trash is from arrogent fucks who think they can hack it but after getting there find out it's no stroll up a hill, but by the time they figure it out they're too weak to carry their own trash? ![]()

After reading "Into Thin Air" (a sobering account of a disaster on the mountain) I can understand people leaving some trash behind. Some of them can't bring themselves down and die while most people get some help after reaching the summit. Still I think people need to be responsible for what they leave. The trash at a beautiful river filled with steelhead, 2 years of trash collection would be an appropriate punishment for the low life scumbags there. |
