When things like this happen to someone you respect, it always makes you think. While I hope I do, I'm not sure I have the strength it would take to do what you have done.

I'm touched deeply by your supportive posts. These last couple of days have been rough; having to let her friends and family know what happened, and arranging for her cremation and other final details. Stopping by here when I had a few free minutes definitely helped brighten my days.

God Simon, I read that and just choked up. I hope I didn't upset you. For me that quote has always been something worth saying in times of grief. I've kept it close when friends and relatives have died.

ditto here.. I got a shiver and sitting here crying. There really are only 6 (or less) degrees that separate us. and the web really cuts that down to 1.
