I have both milf and mature categories, and my general opinion....

Milf 30~45ish - has kids w/friends in the age range where they'd notice 'their friend's hot mom' (see American Pie....)
Mature 45~60ish definately looks "older" and usually not likely to be called "hot" anymore except by hubby...
Granny - grey hair, wrinkles...senior citizen
Housewife - generic term, could be 20's or 40's, kids or no kids, a woman who stays home banging the delivery guy while hubby works

That's how I would categorize them. I never gave much thought to the term "Cougar" but Viper seems to have hit the nail on the head with that term.
