I've been a man on a mission, the wife now asks me if I've eaten and taken a shower when she gets home from work and the dog has stopped trying to let me know he has to go and now pisses in the kitchen and craps in the living room.
I'm up to the c's in adding individual meta tags and feed buttons, probable finish that phase sometime tomorrow (scary because I can no longer do global changes to the template).
Then I need to add plurals to the highlighted keywords (woops) and switch from “oldest to newest” to “newest to oldest” in BA.
Then I need to get a feedburner feed and submit each sub domain to tecnorati to get the ball rolling on this one
Then I need to tweak the one with categories instead of sub domains.
When that's all done I have a pornstar database that I spent a couple weeks building to add to them, that should take a couple more weeks.

Things I've learned in the last two weeks, there are three k's in Bukkake and 1400 people a day do a search for butt plug.
What I plan to learn for once and for all is if splogging is a waste of time (I know what your results have been, mine have been worse)

I'm glad you took my comments as intended.

I'm just starting trying something a little different. We should sit down and compare notes sometime around March and see if we can improve our splogging success's.

But one of the first things I learned is I need a new way to catelog sponsors and feeds. Hopefully, sometime in December I'll have something cool to show off in the realm of resource sites.

Damn, Pat - I wish I had a quarter of your focus. I get all kinds of schemes going in my mind but I'll damned if I can keep working on the same project for very long.

Blogs are great. The directories that take them have good PR and are very acceptable. The thing with blogs is that... It is an everyday type thing.

I started a blog hub a while back on a hosted blog system. The traffic was ok I lost interest because of the ad on the header from the hosted blog. It is still there and I mess around with it a few hours a month. The traffic would be better if it was a hosted blog. and of course the side track thing. I seem to have a problem with that. I have a blog domain to set it up. hmmmm. I also need to learn how to install the darn thing, design it blahh blahh .Tpat you got me side tracked/motivated on blogging.

I probable suffer from some kind of self inflicted A.D.D. (drugs were cool when I was a kid) so I have to do the goals and rewards thing.
Set a big goal then break it down into lots of little goals.
Turning the news off on the T.V. and listening to music while I work seems to have really boosted my productivity, yelling and throwing things at the T.V. is too distracting I guess

I would very much like a sit down with you sometime, Are you going to Vegas in January? I was going to blow it off this year but would go for an hour or two of brainstorming with you. |goodidea

Have a BA question for you, Kaktus told me that setting "Campaigns Pick Unique Entries ONLY" to "no" is easier on the server, but I don't like seeing the same feed post in multiple categories and switched to unique only today. Are you doing Unique only, and if so is it putting a noticable load on your searver?

I have it set to "NO". But I haven't gotten anywhere near the usage you have. I think I have a total of 5 campaigns and I haven't gotten fancy enough to try to use it for more than assigning complete feeds to blogs.

I will start stressing it more in the near future though and I agree I would not like seeing the same feed post in multiple categories.

I won't be to Vegas...at least I'm not planning on it now. Just tied up in too many things in my other life (my consulting business) to break away.

I haven't noticed any changes in performance going with "Unique Only" I also changed the default crawl of every three hours to twice a day to lessen the strain. Right now I have 250 campaigns and plan to at least double that.
I'm sure Sparky will let me know, kick my ass, make me move to a dedicated server or all three if I put to much of a strain on the server
