Do LL use FHS any more ?
I am just getting round to building all the FHS for my sites and, as I hadn't built any for a while I thought I had better look around at a couple of LL just to see if the world of free sites had changed.
While I was looking through I couldn't help but notice that aprox 99% of material listed was from affiliate designed and submitted - there was very few FHS listed. My question is am I wasting my time building FHS if LL owners dont wont or use them ?

Pretty sure a lot of LL still use HFS as long as they are well built and not all templates of the same thing over and over just different content.
I still add them (tho I am really behind and need to catch up), especially when I have a category thats not full. |

HFS are a useful tool for linklist owners, but...
IMO, most linklists will keep those HFS on a niche page for life. If not, I'd assume they are re-adding those they have already used ones back to the top of their queues. I don't really see the need for 1000's of HFS from the same sponsor, because only a handful from each niche can be used without becoming redundant. This is where linklists differ from TGP's our listing's generally aren't discarded as quickly, and therefore we don't need the continual releases of HFS like TGP's prefer with galleries. But again, just my opinion. |

Thats intersesting. I have 7 sites that I need to build for so perhaps just a half dozen different ones for each would be sufficient and then say the same number 6 months to a year later.
Thanks

This is not about LL traffic, but it is about sponsors HFS so it may be useful info for you.
I tend to use sponsors galleries more than sponsors hosted free sites. I did a test on one of my blogs, listing 21 galleries and 21 sites, I got over twice as many sales via the galleries than the sites. However stupidly I only tested sales, I did not test clicks to the HFS/HFG so I have no idea if that is because more people clicked on the gallery links than site links or if they were twice as productive. But anyway, as a result I now list half a dozen HFS (static) and 21 to 42 galleries per blog in a fake TGP type thing (daily updated). And the HFS are only really there because at some point in the future I intend to make 50% of them traffic trades. |

You can now put whatever you want in this space :)

Yeah, people use them...they are a great tool that a lot of programs overlook!
