They now do it by analysing what you are drinking while you log in. If you are drinking tea or any kind of beer that actually has some flavour, they assume you are NOT American!

I always thought it was if you weren't fat, loud, obnoxious and don't drive a car with the build quality of a wheely bin then you aren't American?
